To reset all of your passwords that use your NetID and NetID@gfcmsu.edu, please follow these steps:
- Go to https://password.gfcmsu.edu.
- Click the blue "Go to Password Portal" button.
- Click the "Go to Reset Tool" button.
- Enter your NetID and click "Continue".
- Select one of the 2-4 authentication options shown. If you chose:
- Authenticate with Challenge Questions - Choosing this option will prompt you to answer a few of the challenge questions you created when you created your profile.
- Authenticate with E-Mail - Will ask you to click a button to send a code to your email address that you will then enter on the page.
- Authenticate with Text - Will ask you to click a button to send a code to your phone via text message that you will then enter on the page.
- Authenticate with DUO - If you have installed and configured the DUO authenticator app, you can select this option which will have you click a button that will prompt you to press a button on your phone within the DUO app to authenticate.
- Enter your new password, following the password rules listed on the page. Enter the password in both the password and confirm password boxes.
- Click the "Reset" button.
- You will see 2 or more lines on the page that are processing the password update. The two that are important are the GFCMSU and the Enterprise LDAP lines. You could see lines for other MSU schools you attended previously, which may show a failure message, that is expected behavior.
- Once you see GFCMSU - Success and Enterprise LDAP Success, your password has been reset and you will use this new password on any sites where your username is either your NetID or your NetID@gfcmsu.edu.
Please note: You must wait at least 3 minutes before attempting to login to your Microsoft Office or Student Email accounts, as it takes 3 minutes for the password to sync to Microsoft for those services.
Please note: If you have not registered for classes yet AND/OR it is more than 7 weeks from the start of the term you are registering for, you will not be able to login to D2L Brightspace or Microsoft Office/Student Email. Those accounts are created closer to the start of the term.
