Faculty - Add a Module/Sub-module to your Course
By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to...
- Add a module to your course.
- Add a sub-module to your course.
1. Click "Content".
You will need to be inside the course you want to edit in order to see the "Content" link.
2. Click "Add a Module".
3. Type a name for your module.
It is recommended that you set up your course using a week-by-week method. It is also recommended that the main idea for the module be included in the name of the module. A good naming scheme would be "Module 1: Getting Started". The students often like to know the main focus of the module and can determine that from the module name.
4. Begin editing the module.
You can add dates and restrictions, add a description, and being uploading/creating content. The description area is an excellent location for the module's objectives.
5. If desired, click "Add a sub-module".
Think of the sub-module as being like a folder within a module. An example would be a sub-module that includes resources for being a successful student within the "Getting Started" introduction module.
